NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) invites you to join the next great challenge in space trajectory design — the 13th Global Trajectory Optimization Competition (GTOC13).
After a few bumps in the road, the GTOC13 Website is now live: https://gtoc.jpl.net/ Teams can now register their usernames and prepare for launch. We encourage early registration before October 20, 17:00 UTC, though the registration window remains open until October 24, 17:00 UTC.
This year’s event follows ESA’s dynamic “live competition” format — complete with a real‑time leaderboard, automated solution verification, and instant feedback. The problem statement will be unveiled on October 20, and solution submissions open on October 24. Only verified entries that improve a team’s performance will appear on the leaderboard, keeping the race to the top thrilling until the very end.
Key Dates
- October 20, 17:00 UTC – Problem Release and Competition Start
- October 24, 17:00 UTC – Submissions Open / Registration Closes
- November 17, 18:00 UTC – Competition End
